News: Forum etiquette As this is an on-line forum for the owners of Regency Hyde Park, we ask that you remember a few basic guidelines about forum etiquette. The following points will help make this on-line forum a success: • Take the time to read the letter that came with the EGM notice, the notice itself and these guidelines. • Take the time to read other people’s posts before making your own. Good ideas can come from doing just this! • Be courteous, polite and respectful of other people’s opinions. There are likely to be many different opinions. You can disagree with another person without being rude. A good rule of thumb is only write in your comments what you would be prepared to say in person. • Remember that written words can be misconstrued, especially because they are not accompanied by a person’s facial expressions or tone of voice. Try and be as clear as possible in your comments. If you think someone’s comments are unclear, just ask for clarification. • Type in lower or standard case, and not in capital letters (which equates to shouting). |
